Bet you didn’t know how many cool things are made in Canada? Here is a short list of just some of the coolest things made in the Great White North.


Winnipeg mints coins for over 60 countries

The Royal Winnipeg Mint produces coins for 60 different countries, including centavos for Cuba, kroner for Norway, and pesos for Colombia. The Mint produces an astounding 20 million coins a day.

Hamilton makes the world’s Swedish Fish

Swedish Fish are made in Sweden, in fact more than 5 billion of the little candies are produced in Hamilton every year. Every day, about 13 million of the little fish are produced at a factory in Hamilton, which is also the place where Maynard’s Sour Patch Kids are made.


Toronto makes the world’s best racing bikes

Toronto-based Cervélo builds the world’s fastest and lightest bikes, and to prove it, at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, athletes riding Cervélo bikes won 10 medals, while in 2008, Carlos Sastre rode a Cervélo bike to win the Tour de France.

Winnipeg makes most of the world’s scratch cards

Founded in 1907, Pollard Banknote has facilities throughout North America to produce its lottery scratch cards, but chances are your card was printed in the Winnipeg factory itself.


The world’s best cymbals come from New Brunswick

Sabian cymbals used by Rush, Keith Harris of the Black Eyed Peas, the Philadelphia Orchestra and marching bands around the world come from the small village of Meductic located along the Saint John River in southern New Brunswick, and they are sold in 120 countries around the world.
